was the first company in India, to promote the
use of Compact Discs in the IT industry on a mass
scale. Previously, CDs were primarily used for
Audio/Video distribution, and was not so popular
in the IT industry.
Softalk
correctly gauged the potential of the IT industry
very early and identified the use of Compact Discs
as a cheap and reliable media for data storage
and software distribution. For the first time
in India, we tied up with leading IT magazines
in India like Chip, PC Quest, Computer@Home etc
and introduced the idea of free distribution of
a multimedia CD with every magazine. Today, almost
all IT magazines distribute free CDs along with
their magazines.
Before starting our own manufacturing facilities in India, We initially tied up with a leading Singapore based company,
which was actually one of the best CD Manufacturers in the world,
and started supplying CDs
in India. During that time, the printing of CDs
in India used to be very ordinary and most of
the CD suppliers only offered one-two color silk-screen
printing on the CD face. It was Softalk, which
introduced the concept of four-color designs and
half-tone print jobs on CD faces.
Most
of the Indian manufacturers of CDs, did not have
the equipments and the technical know-how for
proper quality check of the CDs. Since, Softalk
was getting its discs produced in the world’s
best facilities, it was ensured that all CDs undergo
stringent quality check using the most hi-tech
QC equipments.
Today
also, we pay a lot of emphasis on the quality
of the discs and deploy the latest technologies
for proper quality checks, as compared to most
of other Indian CD manufacturers, who under tough
cost-control pressures simply look the other way,
when it comes to checking the quality of the CDs.
On the other hand, we pay attention to even the
minutest details and ensure that something even
as small as the packaging is of high standards.
Even the carton boxes in which our CDs are packed
undergo stringent quality checks. This has been
the primary reason, why Softalk has earned its
reputation of being a quality CD supplier and
has almost never received any complaints from
its customers.
Softalk
itself being an IT company, very well understands
the needs of another IT company. That is why most
of the IT company’s in India, come to us
for their CD requirements. We appreciate the importance
of the value of the Intellectual property of a
customer’s products, when he approaches
us for CD replication and therefore we ensure
that only the correct number of the discs is produced
and any production over-runs are destroyed. We
do not execute any job, without ensuring that
the customer ordering is authorized to order for
production of the particular disc and we take
an indemnity bond from him to this effect. In
return, we are also always ready to sign a similar
bond with our customers promising them that we
shall only produce the correct number of the discs
as per the order.
We
respect our customer’s schedules and therefore
we ensure timely deliveries. We know, how a customer’s
sale & reputation can be affected, if his
product is delayed in the market even for a single
day and we leave no stone unturned to ensure that
we deliver in time.

in the market, but definitely they are the best
